Celebrating craftsmanship, craftspeople and the materials used to create a glass object that feels both unexpected and obvious at the same time was the aim of the series. The thickness of the surrounding glass is the main event and is emphasised by being enclosed in outer and inner ‘shells’ of colour and finishes. The variations of the inner bowl should bear witness to the presence of handcrafting in the creation of the object.
